Charlotte’s Scribble!

Hi Scribblers!

As you know, I love seeing the art of fellow scribblers! This weekend I got a special treat!

A Scribble by Charlotte!

This scribble was a drawn by Charlotte (5 yrs, New York) who made this for her grandparents.  Her grandfather sent this beautiful scribble in for her and describes Charlotte as a happy and creative young lady. He says this drawing is showing a little girl who is welcoming people with open arms! Thank you, Charlotte! This scribble is beautiful!

A Nice Start to The Holiday Season!

Hi Scribblers,

In getting ready for Thanksgiving, I went out and picked up a little something for my friends.

Chocolate Cornucopia

This chocolate cornucopia was so cute and soooo yummy too!

Aside from this tasty treat, we also got to enjoy a front row seat to the Thanksgiving Parade!

I absolutely loved the happy ballons and crowds cheering.

Who doesn’t love Kermit the Frog??

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Make Autumn Dinner Place Cards!

Hi Scribblers!

I’m sure you are all busy preparing for Thanksgiving dinner. As a colorful way to add a little creativity to your Thanksgive spread, I thought these Autumn Dinner Place Cards might spice up your table settings!

Autumn Dinner Place Cards

To start, have your little ones go out side and search for the largest leaves they can find.

Following our the instructions in the Fall Family Tree post, make autumn colored leaf rubbings!

Next, cut out contact paper to match the size of your leaves.

Put contact paper on both sides of the leaf rubbing and make sure to smooth it out flat.

Cut out the contact lined leaf rubbing.

Write the names of your dinner guests on the leaf place cards.

Set your dinner table with your Dinner Place Cards for each of your guests and enjoy!

Turkeys Gone Wild!

Hi Scribblers,

I was trying to think of a tasty Turkey Day treat and of course (you know me!), I made Turkey Cupcakes!… I love cupcakes! I like sharing them with my friends- I even bring them to my favorite local restaurant and share them with everyone there!

Make Turkey Cupcakes!

To make these cupcakes you will need cupcakes, chocolate frosting, white and green decorative frosting, peanut butter cups.

To start, make your favorite batch of cupcakes and cover the top with chocolate frosting.

Create a pastry tube by putting chocolate icing into a plastic bag and cutting off the corner. Using your newly made pastry tube, gently squeeze the bag and create a head for the turkey by swirling the frosting into a head shape about 3/4″ wide.

Cut a small peanut butter cup in half and place them on either side of the turkey’s head to create wings.

Place candy corns along the back of the cupcake between the wings to create tail feathers.

Use the decorative white and green frostings to create eyes.

Make a beak by placing a candy corn in the center of the turkey’s head.

Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles over the center of the cupcake to create feathers (optional).

Enjoy!

A Seesaw Scribble!

Hi Scribblers!

Remember our Seesaw comic from a few weeks ago? I was thinking about the weather changing and how soon we won’t be able to bring our little ones to the playground. Of course, this reminded me of the comic and I thought it might be a fun coloring page to share with your little scribblers!
