Make a Button Bracelet!
Hi Scribblers,
I know we are still a ways off from Spring Cleaning, but I was going through my craft supplies and realized I had a huge bag of buttons. Over the years I have buttons left over from jackets, dresses, pants, bags, craft supplies in general, etc…and over the years they’ve all come together in a bag in my closet. So! I decided to make something out of these colorful little buttons- a bracelet! This craft is super easy, fun to make and sure to be a thrill to your little ones!

To start, cut a piece of ribbon about an inch longer than two times the circumference of your wrist Wrap around your wrist twice. Sew a piece of thread to either end of the ribbon.
Using a sewing needle, string the button onto the thread and ribbon. Pull the button to the center of the ribbon, leave a 1″ loop at the center and then thread through the other side of the button. This button will remain at the center of the ribbon. Do not pull loop through.
Continue threading the ribbon ends through buttons to create your bracelet.
When you get to the last button, pull ribbon through the button holes and snip off the thread at the ribbon ends. Tie knots at the end of each ribbon to secure in place.
If you would like, you can now glue on additional buttons to layer on to larger buttons, or add rhinestones for extra flare.
To wear, simply wrap the bracelet around your wrist and slip the button with the knots at the end through the loop you made on the first button. Slide that button snug so that the bracelet fits nicely and have fun showing off your finished art!
