Have you gotten a chance to take your little ones to a zoo or aquarium? June is Zoo & Aquarium Month. If your kids have never visited a zoo or an aquarium, now is great time to take advantage of the warm weather and introduce your kids to some wildlife!

I hope you are having a good day! How you visited a zoo or  aquarium lately? June is Zoo & Aquarium Month! Take advantage of the warm weather and take your kids on an adventure to discover nature’s animals and sea creatures! You can find the Zoo and/or Aquarium nearest you by clicking here.

To introduce the idea to your little ones, sit them down after dinner an engage them in a fun craft making activity! Help your kids make their own Seahorse Puppet!

As you are making the craft, you can explain to them that Seahorse are tiny little sea creatures that can be seen in the ocean or at an aquarium near you!

How are your zoo & aquarium creatures coming along? We’ve made many zoo & aquarium themed crafts so far and today, we’re sharing one more! Create your own Bird Puppet!

This craft leaves plenty of room for creativity! Simply trace the templates onto cardstock (or posterboard), cut out the shapes, decorate with feathers, glitter, pom-poms…go wild! Then, hand up your new Bird Puppet to put on display for your friends and family!

So it’s been Zoo & Aquarium Month all month long! (haha) Have you made it to a zoo or aquarium yet? If not, or if you don’t have a zoo or aquarium near you, have you been trying or zoo & aquarium crafts? We’re almost half way through Zoo & Aquarium Month! Have you taken your  kids to visit a local zoo or aquarium? Taking your children to zoos, aquariums, planetariums and museums is a great way to educate and broaden the kids understanding of the world and culture. It is also a great way to inspire creativity!
